Litigation Support

Jeff Peterson & Associates works closely with the legal profession, to help address the vocational and employability issues that evolve from personal injury, product liability, medical malpractice, divorce / domestic relations, Americans with Disability Act (ADA), employment discrimination, Jones Act / Maritime, Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, Social Security Administration, toxic tort, and railroad cases.

Vocational Evaluation

If something happens to an individual that results in diminished work capacity, a vocational evaluation can be performed to assess a person's residual employability and earning capacity. In making this objective, unbiased determination, pertinent evidence (e.g., work history, education background, medical reports, aptitude and academic achievement test results) is carefully reviewed and then synthesized into a vocational profile. Following an evaluation, specific vocational and/or rehabilitation opinions are formulated with the overall goal of helping the trier of fact (e.g., judge, jury, or third party mediator) understand the various and oftentimes complex vocational and/or rehabilitation issues.

Labor Market Surveys / Earning Capacity Research

If a debilitating injury results in a career change, a labor market survey is conducted to gather statistical data pertaining to careers, earnings, and job availability in a given geographic area.

Job Analyses

In situations where a person may return to work, we visit the job site to analyze work tasks and conditions to determine potential accommodations that can help that individual resume and maintain employment.

Expert Testimony

Jeff Peterson has qualified as an expert witness before state and federal courts, as well as administrative law hearings, where he is frequently called upon by the Social Security Administration to provide expert testimony in disability hearings.

"You were a major part of our very favorable verdict."

"The jury really like you; they listened to what you had to say."

"The jury bonded with you."
